History

Kenneth Towler and Alicia Spinnet were never really a "couple." They knew each other from being year/housemates at Hogwarts and were friends, but dating each other never really crossed their minds. And then a still-emotionally-scarred-from-Azkaban Kenneth ran into Alicia at a bar not long after the war ended, and a one-night-stand turned into a multiple-nights-stand then turned into a positive pregnancy test. They discussed the idea of getting married, but ultimately decided to simply stay friends and co-parent.

Isabelle Victoria was born a year and a half after the war ended. Much of her early childhood was spent in her father's small house in Whitby, though she stayed with her mother in her Diagon-area flat whenever Alicia wasn't caught up in the Professional Quidditch Player Lifestyle. It was far from easy, there were frequent fights between Kenneth and Alicia, particularly for holidays, because they had never actually sat down and come up with an agreement. Life was made more complicated as her far-from-normal family grew: Isabelle was six when Alicia moved in with an American healer (and officially came out to the media as bisexual), eight when Kenneth married a writer, and ten when her half-brother was born. By this point, she had moved between houses and flats in multiple different cities as her parents relocated that she wasn't sure anymore what to consider her hometown.

Hogwarts was a considerably quieter experience for Isabelle than it had been for her parents. Sorted into Hufflepuff, she felt as though her parents were disappointed that she wasn't a Gryffindor like them (or even a Ravenclaw like her step-mother). But she made friends and attended her classes. She was a hard worker, often needing to be dragged away from her studies by her friends before she burned out. She was the one in group projects who did a lot of the background work while she let others take the spotlight. During career counseling in fifth year, Isabelle discovered Law and decided that that was what her calling was. After graduating from Hogwarts with high marks, she [law school? apprenticeship?], then as she built up experience she started becoming more interested in family law, wanting to help families that, like hers, weren't easy and normal.

In 2026, she finally felt that she had built up enough prestige in her field (plus the money) to move into Gamp Apartments on Diagon Alley. [Roommate??]

Concept

The Hufflepuff daughter of two Gryffindors, she tries to be true to herself while also trying to be the Gryffindor her parents wished she was (they never said as much, but she could tell). Coming from a complicated home life, she's drawn towards helping others with theirs, choosing to specialize in family law once she became a solicitor. But always feels like people are only her friends out of some kind of obligation??

Life Goals: Professionally, she's already happy where she is, though perhaps one day she may open her own law practice. Romantically, she wants love. She wants a real family, to be married, and to stay together in one place. Personally, she just wants to be there for her friends, and have them there for her when she needs them.
