Alexander Taylor was a Gryffindor who mildly idolized the Marauders, taking after them in the world of pranking. In his fifth year, he did the unthinkable and struck up a relationship with Danae Thornridge, a thorny (pun partly intended) Slytherin sixth year. It started out harmlessly enough with him teasingly calling her names such as "light of the world" and "beautiful buttercup" just to get a rise out of her, but it ended up with the two of them actually falling for each other.
