History

Samuel was born in post-World War II America, right in the middle of the Baby Boom. The only child to parents Samuel Green, Sr., and Martha Green, Samuel lived a fairly normal life. Actually, his life was rather like the American Dream: a small house with a white picket fence, kids playing out in the street, apple pie cooling on the window sill. It wasn't until he was in college — where, to his father's disappointment, he was majoring in education — that he realized he was different. The first public mutant was being tried in the nearby city, and he and his friends went to see what the big deal was. Nobody really understood the term "mutant" at the time. While at the trial, Samuel suffered from a massive headache. In that moment, he knew that not only was the girl who was on trial able to control air and wind, but she was very strong with it. He knew that it would be the best for him to stay quiet about this.

After graduating, he got a job as a professor of ethics at a prestigious boarding school in New York (Bridgemont Academy). Eventually, he became deputy headmaster of the school, and in 1988, he became Headmaster. As more mutants began to surface, he discovered the full strength of his powers and he learned how to control them on his own. In the mid-nineties, he decided that what mutants needed the most was a safe place in which to learn about their powers and how to use them. He bought land out in the middle of northern Montana, away from most other people. He then spent the next ten years getting the school built. He has spent the past few months actively seeking out mutants to come to his school, both as professors and as students.
