Blurb

Science was a huge part of Elaina's life since she was a young child. Orphaned at the age of two when her parents died in a car crash, Elaina was taken in by her uncle, the renowned scientist Dr. Thaddeus T. Brain. Thaddeus raised the girl as if she was his own daughter, and that included immersing her in his world of math and science. As soon as she was old enough to see over the table and carry things without dropping them, Thaddeus made Elaina his unofficial assistant in his laboratory. Elaina went to Harvard (her uncle's alma mater) to pursue a double major in chemistry and honors neurobiology, graduating in 1999. She continued on for a Ph.D. in chemical biology, which she earned in 2004. After that, Thaddeus officially hired her as his assistant. Elaina has worked to build a name for herself in the field ever since. When Thaddeus took on two graduate students as assistants (as a favor to their dean), Elaina decided to take some time away from the laboratory and help to train the researchers of tomorrow, taking a job at Olivia-Martin Green Worthington Teaching Faculty as the chemistry teacher.
