History

Isabelle (Izzy for short) is the only child of real estate magnate Nikolai Sokoll and his wife, Caroline. By the time she was born (three years after her parents married), Nikolai had already made a name for himself and his corporation was booming. As such, Izzy was born with the proverbial silver spoon in her mouth.

Nikolai felt guilty about not spending much time with his daughter (he was nearly always at the office, he travels a lot, et cetera), so he showers her with gifts when he is home. Porcelain dolls from other countries, stuffed animals, pretty jewelry. Izzy always wears a pair of diamond stud earrings that he gave her for her sixteenth birthday (which, of course, was a huge bash, but more on that later). Caroline always took Izzy shopping and let her buy anything she wanted, so Izzy quickly developed a love for fashion. Her gigantic walk-in closet at home is always packed with clothes, and her closet at school is practically overflowing. She'll often send some clothes home with a detailed list of what she wants her mom to send back to her from her closet at home.

The Sokoll family owns several homes over the United States. They live primarily in New York City, but they have residences in Massachusetts (Cape Cod), Colorado (Vail), California (outside of Los Angeles), London, Paris, and Moscow. Though they stayed in New York during the school year, the holidays were often spent traveling among the houses, or to other locations, where they would either stay at friends' vacation homes or in five-star hotels (nothing less than five-star, of course!). Isabelle attended a private school in New York City through the eighth grade, but her parents decided that boarding school would be a good experience for her and decided that they would send her to one for high school. Although Izzy expressed interest in a boarding school in New England, once they began looking into the Wilder Academy in Canada, she was sold on it. And after all the exotic locations she'd been to, she kind of liked the idea of going to Canada. And it wasn't too far from New England. Nikolai acquired some land in Halifax and developed it into a luxury resort. For her Sweet Sixteen, her parents invited all of Izzy's friends from school out to the resort and threw a gigantic bash for her.

At the school, Izzy settled in easily. She was a decent student, but her true love at the school was cheerleading. She'd begun taking gymnastics at the age of five, and she made it onto the cheerleading team in her sophomore year. The male athletes were all so hot, she loved cheering for them. She got all into it, too, and School Spirit became her middle name. It was in her sophomore year that she began flirting with Troy Greene, who became the starting halfback for the football team that year. After some flirting and a few random kisses here and there throughout the first half of their sophomore year, they finally officially got together right before the Christmas vacation. They've been dating ever since.
