- Timeturners are a frequent plot device to go back and fix things
- Beyond the four central families, there are other smaller families and characters, but all are in some way or another connected to one (or more) of the central four
Port Merwyn
- Wizard Television spin-off of Timeturner Tales; premiered in 2003
- There were too many main characters on the canvas to focus on all of them equally, so the spin-off was created to spread the stories out a bit
- Cross-overs are common between the shows, so fans are encouraged to tune into and keep up with both
- Focuses primarily on the Whitaker family and those directly connected, but due to connections to the other three main families from Timeturner Tales, it really is impossible to completely separate the Whitaker family from the others
- About the Whitaker Family:
- They are "the mob" but it's a secret that everybody knows
- Michael III works in "protection" — if you pay him, he'll keep you protected
- The official occupation of Michael III is "tea importer"
- He also keeps an eye on any goods going into or leaving Port Merwyn: nothing enters or exits the town without his knowledge, and he is very anti-drugs
- Has been known to "take care of" anyone who is a threat to the safety of the town or his family
- Has been arrested but never charged of anything, due to lack of evidence
